Ah, EarthBound... One of the most beautiful games to ever grace my super Nintendo... Well, the graphics weren't exactly beautiful, but I love them just the same. Now, before I start this review, I'm going to tell you that I am very biased about this game, considering it is my favorite game. Now, first, I'll start with the features.
    • 3 save files on cart
    • different first person battles
    • lots of worlds
    • Modern day
    • loads of fun!

    Gameplay
Hmmm... not much in this area... controls are pretty standard. Cool bell on R button when you're riding a bicycle. The battle system is strange, but fun. The game can be very hilarious, although some of the humor can be younger oriented, there is also slightly adult humor too. The battles are pretty much textbased, you see your life (a rolling hit bar, very cool), PP, and the enemy. A menu asks what to do. An interesting aspect of this game is the choosing of flavors(color schemes) at the beginning of it. Fun fun fun! Battles can get tedious, though.

    Graphics
Graphics, graphics, graphics. EarthBound, or EB as most fans call it, showcases quite an interesting graphics style. As you can see from the screenshots, the graphics aren't the best, but they grow on you after spending time with the game. The enemy graphics during battles are great too. Although the graphics are pretty simplistic, it doesn't change much for the game.

    Sound
Man o man, some of the tunes in this game are catchy, and fun! Whoa! You even get to hear some performances by the greatest Blues band in Eagleland, the Runaway 5!!!! Nuff' said.
    10/10

    Replay Value
This game took me a while to complete, and there were a lot of secret items... I'd say a difficulty factor of oh... about 7.

    Overall
Like I said in the beginning of this review, EB is my favorite game, so I'm gonna give it a pretty good score... I'd say maybe... 10/10! There was a sequel planned for N64, but sadly, a little while ago, it was cancelled. Alas, the folks at Starmen.net are doing all they can to get it back on track. Go check it out, it'll do ya some good.

    FINAL SCORE: 10/10
