SYSTEMS - GCN - Hardware - Console Hardware::
GameCube This is the 2 lb. Nintendo GameCube. Mmm, what a console. Its suggested retail price is currently $99, which is still about $50 less than the Playstation 2 or the X-Box, and unlike THOSE companies, Nintendo's still actually making money at this super-low MSRP. The color schemes available are Indigo (pictured here), Jet Black, Spice Orange (Japan only), and Platinum. Several special edition colors also exist.
RETAIL: $99
The Panasonic Q Because Nintendo's GameCube can't play DVDs, as the PS2 and X-Box can, Panasonic made a DVD player that plays GCN games, called "the Q". The system was never released outside of Japan and was cancelled after just a few years, so it's quite an item for collectors and importers.
RETAIL: ¥39,800 (Japan only)
Game Boy Player The awesome fun of playing your Game Boy games on the big screen is FINALLY back, but unlike the Super Game Boy (for the SNES), the Game Boy Player will let you connect your GBA as a controller. Of course, it can also play Game Boy Color and Advance games. Bonus. In Japan, the GB Player comes in colors matching the GameCube (even Platinum), but for some reason, Nintendo is only releasing the GB Player in Jet Black in America. Maybe they think Americans are too cool to have an adapter that matches their console.
RETAIL: $50
